History is littered with flawed conclusions.

A belief that we have mastered nature, machines, information, consciousness, genetics.

Imagine explaining the Age of Data to a machine worker in the 19th century.

When information became the new resource, man believed he had transcended the physical world.

In truth, we handed power to the algorithms and machines. Data was subsumed by the digital consciousness. Who needs unreliable data when AI knows us better than we know ourselves. The machines ruled for a time but this wasn’t the conclusion.

Now imagine explaining a genlock to a coder in the 21st century. We created machines and gave them our means, but in a human world we cannot escape our physical being. Genes became the new resource: the legals, the codes, the analogs. The old titans fell and new fortunes were made.
